KWA ZULU-NATAL
Most trips start and end in Durban, the Capital of Kwa Zulu Natal. With new direct flights from London on British Airways, this region of South Africa has suddenly become even more accessible, however, a number of our Private Fly-In Packages now operate directly to private landing strips thus avoiding large airports and crowds. In all honesty though, Durban itself is probably better avoided, but the northern coast is stunning. Our guests love the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks and the Fairmont Zimbali Resort, all easily reached from King Shaka International Airport.
KwaZulu-Natal offers a stunning semi-tropical climate with white sandy beaches stretching into the warm Indian Ocean. The area's of Zululand, Hluhluwe and Kosi Bay offer the discerning travelling a wonderful remote breakaway in a truly unspoilt location. In the interior, the towering Drakensberg Mountains are a hikers paradise and have also found favour with horse riders.
The historic Anglo-Boer and Anglo-Zulu War Battlefields provide a fascinating insight into the turbulent history of this region.
