REDISCOVER

KRUGER PARK &
SURROUNDS

No trip to Africa is complete without a safari and The Kruger National Park is possibly one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world.  With over 2 million hectares of land, located in the North East of South Africa, The Kruger National Park is the oldes and most established game reserve in South Africa.

Accommodation within the Kruger National Park is generally operated by the South African National Parks Board and a self-drive through the park staying at the various self-catering lodges can be arranged.   There are a number of private operated game reserves located along the borders of the Kruger National Park.  Most of these have no fences between their sections and the National Park itself and the animals regularly traverse along their traditional routes.

We generally recommend our guests to stay at one of these lodges and reserves that form part of the greater Kruger National Park.  Here you will be able to experience a true, up-close safari experience, getting off the beaten track with a ranger to really experience the wildlife up close.  You'll be able to experience the thrill of night drives and sunsets and even walking safaris through the African bush.

You can self-drive from Johannesburg but we highly recommend flying-in to make the most of your time.  The key gateways are Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) in the South, Hoedspruit in the North and Skukuza (inside the centre of the Kruger National Park).  We operate regular lodge shuttles from Kruger Mpumalanga directly into a number of private lodge strips, alternatively, we can arrange self-drive or transfers.

Through our strategic partnership with Federal Airlines, we are also able to offer our discerning clientele direct lodge shuttle transfers directly from the private terminal at Johannesburg O R Tambo International Airport to selected private lodge airstrips.

Highlights

  • Sitting around a blazing fire under a starry nightsky with the sound of the bush accompanying the stories of the days sightings

  • Sliding into a plunge pool overlooking a river bed as a herd of elephant amble past
  • Discovering the spectacular scenary on the Panorama Route near the Kruger National Park
  • Recreating the past days of the gold rush at old time Pilgrims Rest

Where to Stay

You will note that we present our accommodation options in a slightly different way, Instagram style.  You won't find lengthy descriptions and information on how many hair dryers there are in your bedroom.  We let the pictures do the talking.  We prefer to get to know you, your likes and your quotation will include our detailed hotel recommendations and information (including hairdryers!).
