Villa Princess is owned by the Portuguese royal family and is situated on the western side of the Algarve, perched on Ferragudo’s cliffs.

​

You’ll enjoy beautiful views of the Algarve coastline, with luxury yachts and fishing boats passing in front of the house from the nearby marina. As the villa faces west, you can see out over the bay of Lagos and towards Sagres, watching the sun set each evening on your wonderful Algarve villa holiday.

Villa Princess has been refurbished and modernised throughout and the nine, en suite bedrooms are spread out over three floors of the property.

​

The villa boasts lots of lovely original features. The original furniture has been restored and the bedrooms have been refurbished in a more modern style but the original beds have been kept, which incorporate the family coat of arms. Extensive terraces and a swimming pool which overlooks the sea are real highlights of the villa and there is also a convenient bar and toilet at the pool, along with a poolside shower.

 

The swimming pool has built in steps at the shallow end and is 12.5 metres x 5 metres, with a maximum depth of 1.40 metres. To top off the outdoor appeal, the sun terrace has a retractable sun awning and tables that can seat 16 people for al fresco dining.

The ground floor is home to a recently modernised kitchen and the main drawing room with its grand piano overlooks the terrace with lovely sea views.  There’s an entrance hall and guest cloakroom, and double doors that lead to a private chapel. The formal dining room can seat 8 people at the main table and if you’re expecting company, an additional 8-10 people can be added on circular tables.

 

You’ll also find the music room on the ground floor, complete with a CD player and comfortable chairs.

The lower ground floor has a television room, bar and cloakroom, plus there’s a children’s play room, in what was originally the garage, with a table tennis table. There’s also a laundry room at this level, with two washing machines and an ironing room too. Wifi access is available at the villa.

The beautiful waterside village of Ferragudo is one of the Algarve’s newest hot spots and the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing villa holiday. A picturesque destination with traditional fishermen’s homes, whitewashed houses and a tranquil place to sit and  chill outside the cafes around the village square, watching the world go by.

 

Ferragudo Town has palm-fringed gardens, running by a narrow river to the main cobbled square, which has lots of cafés. Walk along the beach past Forte de São João. The Quay has restaurants with views across the Arade, perfect for some grilled fish.

 

The best way to get out and about is to hire a car and see more of the area in and around Ferragudo. The Algarve golf courses are just a short drive and the nearest shops and restaurants are only 1 km away.
